Trade documents that move with the cargo.

Monsoon Flow is being built to replace paper with signed digital documents, guard against double pledging, and release capital as each stage of a deal is confirmed.

What paper costs a commodity deal

With paperWith Monsoon Flow
Paper is slow.Paper bills of lading and certificates take days or weeks to courier between ports, and vessels wait on demurrage.Title and trade documents transfer digitally, in step with the cargo.
Paper can be pledged twice.A paper document can be used to finance the same cargo with more than one bank. Each signed document is fingerprinted and recorded once, so a copy shows up as a copy.
Capital waits.Slow checks hold up letters of credit and the release of escrow.Escrow is released as each stage of the deal is confirmed.

The winds have shifted.

For centuries the seasonal monsoon winds set the rhythm of maritime trade across the Indian Ocean, carrying merchant fleets between continents with clockwork regularity.

Monsoon Flow carries that idea into digital trade. Ownership and documents move at the speed of the deal, so the paperwork no longer holds the cargo back.
